Stuck in the Question

You’re not hearing much about our upcoming trip to the Southwest because it’s on hold as we consider a variety of travel and work factors. While some people might say, “Good for you guys to be looking at this from different perspectives,” I find it very hard to unmake the bed. Years ago, I wrote a song called “Stuck in the Question.” This state of affairs is probably one of the reasons that I sleep so poorly.

I know that it’s a part of full adulthood to make better, sometimes slower, choices. But I’m suffering! Waaaaaaah!

In other news, our youngest daughter, Steph, has settled into her new farm job in Amagansett, NY. Steph spent six weeks living with us in Youngsville and I already miss her terribly. A lot of parents bellyache when their kids come home for an extended stay, but I enjoyed having Steph here and I loved it when Helen joined us for a year. We had some tumultuous times when our kids were young, so it’s really sweet to reconnect when we’re all a bit more mature!

One thing we do know – we need to leave our current residence for the months of July and August. Our landlord and friend, Don, rents this place out to a family who have been coming here every summer for a long time. So, we will be spending July at a campground in Westchester, NY. After that – the plan is still up in the air.

The Adventure continues…even when we don’t know where we’re going!
