I don’t have anything new to offer about the Trump indictment except for this: it’s really strange and sad to watch. My wife said, “Part of me doesn’t want to pay attention, but I’m confused as to whether I should stay informed or turn away.” It’s like a traffic accident. It’s hard not to look.
One of my friends wrote a piece I’d like to share with you. It gave me some needed perspective about historical events like the one we just witnessed.
His name is Bil Johnson and I was a student in his 10th grade social studies class. Bil was also my high school basketball coach. Given that I was a pretty crummy b’ball player, I can safely say that he inspired my thinking and writing much more!
