Leaving Steph, Weston and Addy, yesterday, wasn’t exactly what Willy the Shake had in mind when he wrote the above line, but we felt mixture of sadness and love, nonetheless. Every ending is a beginning, I suppose.

Today we are waking up in a hotel room thirty minutes away from our morning gig in Long Island. In a couple of hours, we’ll be performing our character education show (now it’s called “social emotional learning “) I’m for a K-2 audience. What a pleasure it is to sing for one’s supper!

The end of September has been rainy along the east coast, but we haven’t let it damp our spirits or alter our plans. Yesterday, we four took a two hour hike through the blustery wind and rain at Cedar Point. Weston taught us more about mushrooms and edible berries. Yes – we want people like this with us in the event of an Apocalypse.
