We have arrived in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, where we will be staying for the next week. The gig is our first foray into remote dog sitting, but it’s also going to be a week of self-care and music-making. We’ve brought along some instruments and we’re also in a home with a baby grand piano and a beautiful djembe. All is well!
Last night, we arrived after an uneventful four-hour journey and had tea with the host family to get acquainted with their home and Jessie, the seven-year-old chocolate Labrador who is the star of the show. We could have stayed up all night talking, but they have to leave today for Big Sur, and we had been up since 4:30 AM. Nighty night, sweet people and canine!
