I enjoyed a trip into the Bronx to watch a Yankee game with friends, Gary and Marty. The Bombers didn’t win, but it was a beautiful night to be be outdoors enjoying America’s favorite pastime.
On the train and in the ballpark, I noticed that this is a multigenerational experience. I saw babies, kids, teens, and twenty-somethings up to octogenarians cheering for the Yanks, while smiling and dancing. Every time the Jumbotron camera found people, they seemed to be enjoying themselves immensely.
As an added surprise to us, one of the students from a recent John Lennon project school was given the job of saying “Play Ball” at the top of the game. What a coincidence!
