When the Scott Bierko Band featuring Beth, Regina Singel and Alan Baruch was in full-swing (pre-pandemic) this was and audience favorite and one of our’s, too. I think it was the Santana-like guitar part Alan laid down and the positive vibe that springs from the combination of the lyrics and the uptempo chord progression. It’s a great progression: Am7 / Dm7 / F / E7. To me, it evokes the jazzy part of the Doobie Brothers and even some Steely Dan.
It’s one of the songs that I can see other people covering (playing) and nothing would make me happier!
